The Roller Coaster is a series of steep hills and valleys resembling a roller coaster. You can easily exceed 30 MPH on the downhill and experience incredible G-forces at the bottom of each valley. The ride is relatively short but the climb is quite stiff and the trail is littered with rocks.
This trail is not to be missed if you are riding in the area. I recommend combining the Roller Coaster with the Bobsled for an awesome 13 mile loop.
Trail Riding Instructions
Follow the BST south along the doubletrack until reaching the fence. The trail to the left is the exit of the roller coaster. Follow the trail to the right staying to the left whenever possible. At about mile 1 you should begin to climb steeply along the doubletrack. Continue until you reach a doubletrack heading east to west. The roller coaster is the down hill drops to the west. The trail exits at the fence and continues along the BST staying to the right. The trail loops back to the starting point or you can continue on to the Bobsled.
Directions to trailhead
From Foothill Dr turn east onto Wakara Way and turn right onto Colorow Dr and park. The trail begins on the east side of the road and connects to the BST.
